Updating the Agenda System to Support Future Growth 

The Agenda System Rewrite was undertaken to address the limitations of the original system and align it with the county's current and future needs. The existing system, built using an older library and programming language, was difficult to maintain, costly to update, and unable to meet evolving requirements. This rewrite aimed to modernize the codebase, enhance usability, and make the system scalable, all while improving features such as the review/approval process and role management. A critical goal was also to integrate a Contract Search feature into the system, making it more accessible and efficient for users.

The Agenda System was completely rebuilt to modernize the codebase, improve usability, and ensure scalability. Key updates included redesigning the system architecture to support future growth, integrating the Contract Search feature for seamless access to historical data, and enhancing the review/approval process with live status checks and color-coded statuses for better clarity. Additionally, user roles were updated to reduce dependency on programming teams, streamlining maintenance and reducing costs.
